What is HVACIQ?
HVACIQ is an AI assistant that answers questions about your AC unit using the official manufacturer manuals. You select your unit type, ask a question in plain English, and get an answer pulled directly from the documentation.
Who is HVACIQ for?
Both homeowners and HVAC technicians. Homeowners use it to troubleshoot issues and understand their unit. Technicians use it to look up specs, wiring diagrams, and fault codes quickly on the job.
Is HVACIQ affiliated with any manufacturer?
No. HVACIQ is an independent product. We are not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by any HVAC manufacturer. All trademarks belong to their respective owners.
Accuracy & Safety
How accurate are the answers?
HVACIQ only answers from the official PDF manuals for your selected unit. If the answer isn't in the manual, it will tell you rather than guess. It also cites the relevant section so you can verify.
Can I trust it for installation work?
For reference and verification, yes. HVACIQ surfaces wiring diagrams, refrigerant specs, clearance requirements, and commissioning steps directly from the installation manual. That said, always have a licensed technician handle refrigerant and electrical work.
Will it ever make something up?
It's designed not to. Unlike general-purpose AI, HVACIQ is constrained to only answer from the loaded documentation. If your question falls outside what the manual covers, it will say so.
Models & Coverage
Which units are supported?
Currently 14 unit types are supported across wall mounts, cassettes, ducted units, floor consoles, and multi-zone outdoor units — 52 manuals in total. More brands and models are on the roadmap.
What if I have a multi-zone system?
Select the Multi Zone Outdoor unit and the indoor unit type separately. Both sets of manuals are loaded so you can ask questions about either component.
My brand isn't listed. Will you add it?
We plan to. Email us at hello@hvaciq.io with your brand and model and we'll prioritize accordingly.

Is it really free?
Yes. The free plan includes unlimited questions, all supported models, and saved chat history. No credit card required.
Is my conversation saved?
Demo conversations on the home page are not saved. Once you create a free account, your chat history is saved and accessible anytime.
What's coming in Pro?
Priority response speed, more brands and models, shareable answer links, and API access. Pro is not yet available — join the waitlist to be notified.
